The Role & The Team:
Druva is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Accounting to help scale a best in class Accounting organization. Reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting, this role will assist in managing accounting functions, financial reporting, enhance our internal controls, and drive process improvements. This position requires excellent analytical skills, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the oversight of daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring consistent application of accounting policies.
- Act as lead for external audit, including full-cycle preparation of GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures, coordination of team’s PBC schedules, control walkthroughs, and GAAP checklist.
- Own monthly close procedures for high-risk accounting areas, inclusive of commission accounting, leases, and equity modifications.
- Research technical accounting issues regarding the adoption of new accounting standards and non-recurring transactions. Maintain and update the Company’s annual accounting memos as needed.
- Drive process automation to achieve the Company’s efficiency initiatives.
- Collaborate with business partners across various departments to achieve common objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, or equivalent certification.
- 5+ years of accounting management experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $196,000 and $274,667/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized, non-discriminatory factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, and equity.
