The Specialist, Content Security, will be a key member of the Content Security Team supporting the Netflix Content Organization globally across all production verticals, live, and events. This role will be comfortable operating through complexity and uncertainty, operationalizing security strategies, and ensuring the security of our production processes and our vendor partners.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Content Security: production workflows, content-handling vendor management, and cybersecurity best practices. This position will play a critical role in protecting our pre-launch content and ensuring secure operations across our global production and vendor networks. Success in this role looks like building rapport and trust with production stakeholders and effectively minimizing the impact of pre-launch content leaks through the execution of operational security programs.
Job Responsibilities
Operationalize content security programs for our global productions and content operations
Establish meaningful relationships with internal and external production teams
Engage with production teams, producers, cast, and crew on show requiring enhanced security support
Conduct risk assessments and evaluations of content-handling vendors, and provide security advice and remediation plans based on security best practices
Develop a deep understanding of Netflix tools, applications, and workflows - to ensure that security best practices are implemented and followed
Understand and interpret industry best practices as they relate to how Netflix operates
Operate within a content security strategy and culture that fits our business and culture, enabling risk-based decisions and pragmatic security approaches
Partner cross-functionally with the broader Content Risk Management and Information Security teams.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of relevant Content Security/Information Security experience - in the film/streaming/entertainment industry
Experience in production and post-production, with a deep understanding of relevant workflows, technologies, industries, services, etc. (e.g. editing, visual/audio effects)
Knowledge and technical skills around current and developing content security technology, anti-piracy protections, advanced production security techniques, industry standards, and best practices
Demonstrated ability to communicate at a technical level with technical professionals, as well as communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical partners
Demonstrated curiosity and attention to emerging trends and developments in the content and cybersecurity space
Certifications in one or more of the following - CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CEH

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000 - $245,000.
