About the role

IT Tech Lead 

ICP is looking for an experienced IT Tech Lead with expertise in network security, cybersecurity, server management, and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading and implementing IT solutions to drive business success. We're seeking a dynamic tech leader skilled in IT, project management, governance, and IT security, who thrives in an agile environment. As an IT Tech Lead, the role will be working as part of a team to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of M365, Aure and cloud solutions and provide ongoing technical design and implementation of updates to the current tech landscape and development and deployment of new solutions as required.  

This role is a hybrid role working a minimum of two days per week in the office and is based in UK (London) reporting to the Director of Technology. 

How you are going to make an impact:  

Key Responsibilities  

• Solution Design: Develop comprehensive IT solutions that integrate Microsoft 365 and Azure services, ensuring they meet business requirements and align with best practices. 

• Architecture Planning: Create detailed architecture plans for cloud and hybrid environments, focusing on scalability, security, and performance. 

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical designs and solutions. 

• Implementation Oversight: Oversee the implementation of IT solutions, ensuring they are deployed correctly and efficiently. 

• Security Management: Implement and maintain robust security measures, including identity management, data protection, and compliance with industry standards. 

• Monitoring and Optimisation: Continuously monitor IT systems and optimise performance, addressing any issues that arise. 

• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and IT staff, ensuring they can effectively use and manage Microsoft 365 and Azure services. 

• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and partners to integrate third-party solutions and services with Microsoft technologies. 

• Technical Expertise: Solving complex technical issues and making critical decisions. 

• Collaboration: Acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical staff. 

• Documentation: Developing and maintaining technical documentation and architectural diagrams. 

• Innovation and Improvement: Driving technological improvements and innovations. 

• System Integration: Leading the integration of IT systems for seamless operation. 

• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.

• 5+ years of experience in IT administration 

• Proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver projects. 

• Microsoft Stack 

• Advanced knowledge of SharePoint Online and Teams 

• Intune and MAM 

• Azure/365 admin configurations 

• Experience solving Azure/365 security incidents 

• Exchange Online 

• Azure AD Connect sync (Hybrid environments) 

• Azure SSO, SAML integration 

• Defender for Endpoint 

• Conditional Access 

• Teams calling 

• Knowledge of patch management 

• General 

• Carrying out configuration changes 

• Documenting processes and guides 

• Basic PowerShell commands for Azure/365 modules 

• Microsoft Purview DLP 

• Azure app registrations 

• Privileged Access Management (PAM)  

• Email security experience 

• Understanding of Security Best Practices – knowledge of compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC2, or GDPR. 

• Performance Optimization – ability to improve software performance, scalability, and reliability. 

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management – ability to work with product managers, designers, and business teams. 

Leadership & Collaboration 

• Technically Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of IT projects and initiatives. 

• Communication: Facilitating communication and escalation processes within the IT team. 

• Collaborate closely with the IT Manager, and Director of Technology to ensure IT initiatives resonate with broader business goals, integrating emerging technologies for a competitive edge. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify IT needs and develop strategic solutions to support business objectives. 

• Stay current on emerging technologies and trends in network security, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure to inform decision-making and drive innovation within the organization. 

• Conduct training sessions on company IT systems, software, and procedures. 

• Problem-Solving – ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues and provide solutions. 

• Decision-Making – making informed technical choices that align with business goals. 

Education/Experience (optional but helpful) 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years’ experience in an IT lead role with a successful IT delivery track record. 

• Cloud Certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Engineer). 

• Cybersecurity (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+). 

• Project Management (Scrum Master, PMP, ITIL). 

• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft platform (M365 and Azure) 

• Broad knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, cloud technologies, automation and Ai and PowerBi  

• Demonstrated experience in process improvement and optimising IT operations. 

• Innovative mindset with a passion for exploring and implementing new technologies. 

• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 

• Proficiency in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP). 

• Experience with governance of cyber essentials and SSL certificates. 

• Experience with ISO27001 and SOC2 

• Experience writing technical documents and processes
