Role: VP, IT Manager – Security Architecture

Reports To: SVP, Chief Information Security Officer 

Position Overview 

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice President, IT Manager – Security Architecture to join our security team. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing robust security architecture for both infrastructure and application security. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and emerging threats, and will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets. 

Core Responsibilities 

• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive security architecture strategies for both infrastructure and application security. 

• Partner with the company’s software engineering teams to embed best security practices into the software development process. 

• Lead the design of highly secure and resilient IT infrastructure in collaboration with the IT Infrastructure team. 

• Collaborate with senior leadership to align security initiatives with business objectives and regulatory requirements. 

• Oversee the design and deployment of security solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security and compliance. 

• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent security practices across the organization. 

• Provide expert guidance on security best practices and emerging trends to internal teams and stakeholders. 

• Stay current with the latest security technologies, threats, and industry trends to proactively address potential risks. 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience 

• Extensive experience in cyber security, with a focus on both infrastructure and application security. 

• Strong understanding of network security, cloud security, and secure software development practices. 

• Combination of business acumen and technical skills. 

• Solid judgement in assessing cybersecurity risks. 

• Ability to achieve a reasonable balance between the value of security controls and their potential burden on the business. 

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. 

• Being a highly collaborative team player.
