Department Overview

The Information Security & Privacy Governance Department is part of the Technology Management Division, which provides corporate technology services across the Rakuten Group.

The Information Security Governance Office oversees information security governance across the entire Rakuten Group. It is responsible for developing security-related policies,  supporting implementation in business divisions, conducting monitoring activities, providing employee security training

The Business Support Office collaborates with internet business divisions, including Rakuten Ichiba, Rakuten Travel, and Rakuten Ticket, to enhance information security governance. The office proposes and supports the implementation of optimal security measures from both business and security perspectives. Its responsibilities include: risk assessment and identification, evaluation of security countermeasures and implementation of security measures

Position:

Position Details

- Identify risks in internet business divisions, evaluate and propose countermeasures, and support their implementation.

- Manage project tasks and schedules while coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

- Prepare materials for regular meetings, create reports and presentations, and conduct briefings.

- Address information security-related inquiries from internet business divisions.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

- Experience in projects related to information security, in-house information systems, or internet service infrastructure, including planning and implementation

- English: Business-level proficiency (TOEIC score of 800+). Alternatively, a TOEIC score of 700+ with a plan to reach 800 within two years.

- Japanese: Native-level proficiency.　

Desired Qualifications:

- Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Registered Information Security Specialist (IPA).

- Experience and Knowledge: Familiarity with ISMS ISO/IEC 27001 certification processes.
