Who are we hiring?
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SOC Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of supervisory experience, with a proven ability to manage and guide a team, including creating schedules and handling personnel issues. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the Security Operations Center, ensuring the smooth functioning of both event and non-event hours. You must have a strong understanding of security technologies such as CCTV, Physical Access Control, and Security Software Platforms, with troubleshooting capabilities to address issues efficiently. The SOC Supervisor will be responsible for responding to life safety incidents, coordinating security, emergency response, and other relevant personnel, while maintaining clear communication and upholding confidentiality. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. What will you do?
- The SOC Supervisor is responsible for the daily oversite and supervision of all Enterprise-wide SOC staff members.
- The SOC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the physical operation of the Security Operations Center during both event and non-event hours.
- The SOC Supervisor will provide oversite and guidance to the team while responding to life safety incidents (medical, safety, natural disasters, etc.) and dispatch security officers, ERT, facilities, police, fire and EMS personnel as required via telephone, radio and/or software systems provided by MSG while ensuring all essential information is shared in a timely manner.Coordinate closely with Event and Venue Security team counterparts.
- The SOC Supervisor maintains various records of communications and events and compiles reports for Senior Threat Management leaders.
- The SOC Supervisor is responsible for administrative duties including but not limited to shift scheduling, scheduling of regular operational tasks, and ensuring payroll documents are accurate for submission.
- Evaluate incidents that may impact employees, venues, or offices and escalate accordingly to security management and subsequently to other business units as necessary.
- Collect and analyze intelligence, perform risk assessment and notify appropriate parties.
- Follow procedures to support investigative response & recovery operations for various incidents.
- Hold Lead Operators accountable for abiding by established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and enforce compliance when necessary.
- Able to manage and handle situations of a sensitive nature and maintain company’s confidentiality and information security practices (personnel issues, investigations, public relations incidents, emergency personnel contact information, etc.).
- The SOC Supervisor takes an active role in position related projects. The levels of responsibility will vary from consulting to owning projects based on the individual.
- Supervise a team of 6+ SOC Operators
What do you need to succeed?
- (2) Years experience as a Supervisor creating schedules and working with personnel issues.
- Strong understanding and troubleshooting capabilities for CCTV, Physical Access Control, and various Security Software Platforms utilized by the organization.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify causes, and implement results-oriented solutions.
- Must be a good communicator and have a willingness to learn, abide, and enforce established SOPs.
- Must possess strong computers skills with a strong proficiency in MS Office and an ability to create data metrics and reports.
- Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
- Seeks knowledge and guidance, is a collaborator, and is comfortable operating in the gray area.
- A professional demeanor, along with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
Special Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment.
- Ability to influence people who do not report to you to assist in completing projects.
- Ability to travel as needed by the organization. Travel less than 5%.
