The Senior Security Consultant is responsible for driving the security consulting growth in APJ incl close work with key customers in regards to evaluating customer security strategy, processes and technology needs, and translating customer requirements into offers/orders. Provides consulting services for business cases and functional issues articulating Nokia solutions during customer engagements and effective interaction with customer decision makers to justify their strategy and investments.

The Senior Security Consultant drives security consulting sales and delivery with key accounts in APJ. Advising key accounts on their security strategy is an essential part of your role as well as to increase security consulting revenue via a business sense.  Senior Security Consultant positioning security services and solutions in the respective markets, define business models, segmentation, and pricing. Advising Nokia’s customer in regard to the security evolution, auditing or assessing the customer domains and finding the optimal transformation concepts.

The Senior Security Consultant will contribute and update specific areas of the consulting portfolio / services, from conception to scale-up or sell-through.

Senior Security consultants shall become an active part of the consulting and security community and improve methodologies and frameworks as well as participate in open knowledge sharing in the Nokia CNS communities.

  • Identify and interpret customers security business needs
  • Developing and improving security consulting sales in APJ 
  • Taking business responsibility for security consulting portfolio and drive customer engagements and sales
  • Independently perform security reviews of customers internal systems, applications, and third party integrations
  • Articulate security findings to a variety of stakeholders, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Provide defensible recommendations on technical, physical and administrative control implementations based on assessment findings while balancing the cost versus benefits
  • Negotiate acceptance of remediation plans and timelines based on level of risk associated with a finding
  • Defining and prioritizing consulting and project requirements based on customer demand, portfolio, market trends, competitive intelligence and technology evolutions
  • Leading consultative engagements with key customers to refine security consulting capabilities to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and competitive differentiation
  • Meeting with customers, account managers and analysts to evangelize the security consulting portfolio.
  • Influence upcoming customer to RFIs, RFPs, and customer 
  • Helping develop key accounts and key customers references to support growth and thought leadership
  • Contributing to the creation of sales/marketing plans and collateral: competitive analysis, presentations, whitepapers, case studies, value proposition messages, etc. Analyze customer requirements, technologies, standards, and competitors
  • Keep close contact with sales and sales support teams, R&D and supply chain
  • 7+ years of expertise in (telco) security area including industry certifications in the security space (CISSP, CISA, CEH or similar)
  • 7+ years of critical industry (eg Telco, Energy) experience in either network operator or equipment supplier
  • 7+ years of consulting or professional service experience with a demonstrated understanding of telco and security market requirements
  • Good knowledge of cloud security and major cloud technologies as well as IP Fabric networking 
  • Knowledge of security technologies, devices and countermeasures as well as the threats they are designed to counter
  • Knowledge and understanding of security controls across all security domains such as access management, encryptions, vulnerability management, authentication and authorization, network security (IPS/IDS/DLP/Gen-2 firewalls/2FA, etc.), physical security, etc.
  • Good grasp of NIST, PCI, ISO and SOC security guidance’s and documents
  • Excellent understanding of the industry landscape, including customers, potential partners, direct competitors, and competing and emerging technologies and architectures
  • Ability to work collaboratively across many teams within the organization including sales, business development/technical sales, product management, market services and program management
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to communicate technology strategy and architecture approach to engineers, sales, and customers
  • Ability and flexibility to develop and deliver presentations to a wide variety of audiences and to define and participate in conferences, trade shows
  • Proficiency in conflict management and negotiation, with abilities to influence and lead others
  • Strong consulting skills to work with both, external and internal customers and suppliers
  • High energy and willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic
