The Opportunity
At EY Financial Services Organization (FSO) we have a strong Non-Financial Risk, Regulatory and Compliance Consulting practice. We are the leading independent provider of risk consulting services. Our dedicated professionals work with financial institutions of different size across various sectors (including insurance, banks, asset management and payment players), helping them in notably being compliant with new or updates in regulations but as well at organizing their control functions (e.g. compliance, non-financial risk management & permanent control) in alignment with market practices and regulatory requirements.
Our Technology Risk team focusses on diverse issues including design and operation of internal controls, security of business-critical systems, delivery of major IT enabled programs, third party relationships, and the management and stewardship of business-critical data.
We are currently seeking an experienced Manager in Technology Risk and Financial Services to further expand our team!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and share knowledge with team members and participate in solving our client’s most complex questions related to IT risk management and transformation, both from a strategic and operational point of view
- Brief the engagement team on the client's IT environment and industry IT trends.
- Review the setup of complex systems and technology governance frameworks in line with industry leading practices (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, NIST, ISO,…)
- Contribute to provide our clients with EY supported insights and pragmatic recommendations to further improve business performance, operational efficiency and risk management
- Take responsibility for the successful end-to-end delivery of multiple engagements, motivating teams, coaching people and be part of our executive team
- Develop strong client relationships and potentially identify new business opportunities, while assisting in further development of our technology risk competencies around IT Risk Transformation and/or Operational Resilience
Skills and Attributes for Success
- You have a bachelor's or master’s degree, preferably in computer science, economics or computer engineering
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, project management/service delivery, operational/IT risk management or consulting
- You have expertise in at least one of the following areas:
- IT Risk Management/Transformation
- Operational Resilience
- Third Party Risk Management
- GRC Tooling
- Data risk
- Expertise and experience in specific regulations applicable to the relevant financial sector (e.g.: GDPR, ESG, MiFID, PRIIPS, UCITS/AIFMD, CRD, PSD2, Instant payment, CESOP, Interchange Fee Regulation, Corporate Governance, DORA, Remuneration policies…)
- Professional certifications, such as CGEIT, CISA, CISM, CISSP, COBIT, CRISC and ITIL are a plus
- Knowledge and experience of emerging technology, FinTech, Cloud services and Cybersecurity are a plus
- Flexible mindset, with a creative approach and ability to think out-of-the-box
- Process-minded, organized, with an eye for detail and excellent analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication & presentation skills
- Fluency in French and/or Dutch and proficient level of business English
- Detail oriented, problem solving skilled, client focused, with a pragmatic approach
- Capacity to summarize and prioritize the information to be reported to management
- Strong team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy
