Job Description:

Be a part of the men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges! General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an Enterprise Cyber Architect to support the DTRA I3TS program at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

This program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable the customer to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities. These services will deliver exceptional execution value to internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Duties Include: 

  • Determine enterprise cybersecurity standards and processes in coordination with Enterprise stakeholders
  • Develop and advise the implementation of Security frameworks, architecture and compliance artifact development.
  • Provide tactical and strategic cybersecurity advice and examine the implications to the Information System’s risk level with the integration of new technologies.
  • Perform all procedures necessary to ensure the security of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
  • Provide an independent assessment and ensure security controls are implemented correctly, operating as intended, and are producing the desired outcome.
  • Interact with DTRA I3TS Customers
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Complete weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a focal point of contact for the cybersecurity team and the customer/organization.
  • Advise on physical security, cybersecurity posture, residual risks and mitigation, incident response, disaster recovery, and data backup systems.
  • Assist the Assessment and Authorization team with security audits and vulnerability and threat assessments, and directing responses to network or systems intrusions
  • Ensure that all information security systems are functional and secure.
  • Provide training to cybersecurity personnel.
  • Assess current technology architecture using continuous monitoring metrics and operational feedback for addressing vulnerabilities, weaknesses with new technologies, upgrades or improvements.
  • Communicate cybersecurity goals and new programs effectively with other managers.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Participate in change management process, assessing security impact of proposed changes.
  • Design and recommend security policies and procedures.
  • The work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
  • 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years Cyber Assurance experience.
  • Working knowledge of DOD Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with Security Frameworks and processes, such as, RMF, Zero Trust, Comply2Connect, DISA CPG
  • Must meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAM level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges
  • TS/SCI security clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • CISSP certification preferred.
  • ITIL 4 Foundations preferred.
  • Information Security Management experience
  • Knowledge and experience with technologies: monitoring, remediation, Splunk, Trellix, ACAS and IT technologies, such as VMWare, Linux and Microsoft
  • Familiarity of concepts such as DevSecOps, SBOM, Infrastructure as Code, Software Defined Data Center, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Integration desired.
  • Knowledge with Network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security internal systems, cloud and network infrastructure
  • Experience with firewalls and firewall rule sets

The likely salary range for this position is $196,389 - $265,703. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
