The Quality Specialist is responsible for the execution of comprehensive Systems and Data Quality Assurance (QA) activities, with a primary focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) systems and data integrity. This position plays a critical role in developing and implementing a risk-based AML Systems and Data QA testing plan, ensuring that all systems and processes adhere to regulatory and internal compliance standards. The role also involves supporting the Asia Segment Compliance function and the Global Compliance Function by facilitating effective communication with management, internal auditors, and Asia Business Units.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in crafting and refining risk-based AML Systems and Data QA testing plans, ensuring relevance and alignment with industry standards.
Collaborate with the Asia Segment Compliance and Global Functions Compliance teams to deliver and execute the testing plan, utilizing risk analysis, data analytics, professional judgment, and process insights while engaging relevant stakeholders.
Ensure the timely and efficient completion of AML Systems and Data QA processes, adhering to best practices and regulatory standards.
Identify and communicate the root causes of issues and associated risks. Provide actionable recommendations for business process improvements and ensure management implements effective action plans.
Produce high-quality, timely AML Systems and QA reports, focusing on key risks, root causes, materiality, potential solutions, and clear messaging.
Maintain and communicate up-to-date statuses on all AML Systems and Data QA activities, including current initiatives, next steps, and potential roadblocks.
Work with stakeholders to identify potential red flags and manage insights into emerging risks and controls.
Establish trust and credibility with stakeholders to engage objectively, challenge views when appropriate, and support senior management in achieving business objectives.
Assist Asia Segment Compliance and Global Functions Compliance teams with ad-hoc projects and special QA tasks related to AML Systems and Data QA.
Qualifications
A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in leading IT risk-based audits, including IT Application Controls and IT General Controls, with proven ability to interact with key stakeholders and manage negotiation situations.
A degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Accountancy, Business, or related fields.
Professional knowledge of AML Compliance.
Strong experience in IT Security Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance, preferably in the AML domain.
Familiarity with IT auditing tools and software.
Knowledge of COBIT or similar standards.
Experience with AML Risk Management tools and systems, such as Bridger or AML Manager.
Holding certifications such as Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or equivalent is an added advantage.
