As Cybersecurity & Privacy Counsel you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced team on cybersecurity and privacy issues impacting Apple’s business and products across the globe. You will work directly with key stakeholders, including business teams, engineers and across the legal department on Apple security and privacy activities, including regulatory issues and policy matters.

Description


At Apple, we consider that Privacy is a fundamental human right. As part of this role you will have the opportunity to work directly with key stakeholders on a variety of cutting edge projects including: - Providing legal support to teams assessing cybersecurity practices and requirements, including supplier cybersecurity programs - Responding to cybersecurity and privacy incidents - Drafting and negotiating data protection and cybersecurity agreements - Assisting with legal advocacy and policy work on privacy, cybersecurity and online safety issues

Minimum Qualifications


  • 4+ years experience counseling on security and privacy legal issues, including incident response, data protection and cybersecurity agreements, and policy matters
  • JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar


Preferred Qualifications


  • In-house experience a plus but not essential
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills
  • Ability and commitment to work both independently and collaboratively with numerous people at all levels throughout the company
  • Sound business judgment, and flexibility/adaptability to manage multiple wide-ranging matters, conflicting deadlines, and new areas of expertise as business needs change
  • Demonstrated ability, in a positive, commercial and practical manner, to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and effectively


Pay & Benefits


  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $173,400 and $260,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
