Position:  Cybersecurity Risk Analyst
Location: Hybrid in Arlington/Ballston, VA area (partially remote)
Clearance Required: Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI

Knowesis is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Risk Analyst to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) mission to lead the national efforts to protect and enhance the resilience of the nation’s physical and cyberinfrastructure. Our analyst evaluates the risk associated with foreign person acquisition of, or investment in, U.S. businesses or applications for FCC licenses by foreign persons or entities. This is a hybrid position in Arlington, VA (Ballston, VA). This position requires a Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. 

This position requires a Top Secret/SCI Clearance and requires U.S. Citizenship (applicants without proof of US citizenship will not be considered due to the position’s security clearance requirement). 

 The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Supports cybersecurity research, evaluations, and assessment for cases brought forth to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and the development and implementation of standards, policies, and recommendations
  • Identifies and provides mitigation strategies for CFIUS cases spanning physical, cyber, and human domains
  • Supports multiple, concurrent analytical efforts in support of cyber security assessments
  • Plans, organizes, and implements information and intelligence-sharing plans
  • Provides timely status updates in a clear, concise, and polished manner
  • Supports the delivery of high-quality technical products and solutions
  • Highly analytical skills, able to work independently

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5 - 7 years of experience required
  • Knowledge of offensive or defense cyber capabilities
  • Experience assessing system capabilities and vulnerabilities
  • Experience in security methods such as monitoring, diagnostics, and remediation
  • Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Assurance or related discipline

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • CISSP
