Firebird AST is seeking an onsite Top Secret/SCI Sensitive Activities Analyst to support SOCSOUTH in Homestead, FL. Candidate will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in sensitive activities.

This is for a pending contract; contract award is anticipated in late Fall 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), including their leadership structures, operational methods, and networks, to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Deliver intelligence products, including threat assessments, network analyses, and long-term security trend evaluations, in accordance with ICD 203 and ICD 206 standards.
  • Provide briefings and analytical updates to SOCSOUTH leadership and the Intelligence Community on critical security issues in Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Develop actionable intelligence on drug trafficking networks, smuggling operations, and other transnational criminal activities impacting U.S. interests and regional stability.
  • Support SOCSOUTH’s Sensitive Activities (SA) program by integrating intelligence with operational planning, policy assessment, and real-world mission support.
  • Leverage advanced research methodologies and intelligence tools to maintain a dynamic operational picture and enhance situational awareness.
  • Participate in SME exchanges, conferences, and low-risk operations, with occasional travel to support SOCSOUTH engagements.

REQUIRED

  • 8+ total years of all-source intelligence analysis including transnational threats experience.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), including their leadership structures, operational methods, and networks, to identify and mitigate risks within the USSOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
  • 5+ of experience supporting SOF, preferably at SOCOM, or national-level agencies.
  • 3+ of experience in formal writing and providing finished intelligence assessments.
  • 3+ years of specialized experience in military or IC compartmented, sensitive activities, or cyber experience (IJSTO, SAP, ACCM, etc.)
  • Experience preparing/delivering briefs to 0-6 military and above.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, reports, policy, legal documents, etc.
  • Ability to prepare reports and presentations to company management and customer(s).
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, strategic and innovative thinker, and passion for the mission.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field (master’s preferred).

CLEARANCE

  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI
