Overview

Highgate is seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to provide dedicated technology support to the Founding Principals, their families, and their Family Office, ensuring seamless IT operations and security. In addition to serving as the primary IT resource for Family Office Principals, Executives, and employees, this individual will collaborate with Highgate’s broader IT team to support company-wide initiatives and operational needs. This role requires exceptional discretion, responsiveness, and technical expertise in managing executive IT support, security, and infrastructure. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of the Family Office, this position will also work closely with the head of corporate IT at Highgate to ensure alignment across personal, family office, and hotel technology systems.

 

Responsibilities

Founder Support

  • Provide high-touch, VIP IT support to the Founding Principals and their families, ensuring immediate resolution of technical issues both in-office and at their residences while maintaining 24/7 availability
  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor, proactively recommending solutions to enhance efficiency, security, and user experience
  • Manage, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide range of IT issues related to hardware, software, networks, and mobile devices (iOS and Windows)
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure seamless IT service and timely issue resolution
  • Ensure all personal and professional IT systems (laptops, desktops, phones, smart devices) are secure, well-maintained, and fully operational

Family Office & Broader IT Support

  • Act as the primary IT resource for Family Office Executives and employees, ensuring timely support and maintaining operational continuity across two Dallas-based offices
  • Collaborate with Highgate’s IT team to support company-wide initiatives and day-to-day operational needs
  • Ensure seamless integration between family office, personal, and business IT systems while maintaining strict confidentiality

Active Directory Administration

  • Administer and manage Active Directory environments, including user account management, group policies, security groups, and access permissions
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain compliance with security policies and industry best practices
  • Oversee user provisioning and de-provisioning, ensuring timely and secure access management
  • Manage and monitor AD backups, replication, and recovery plans to ensure system integrity

Security Management

  • Design, implement, and maintain a robust IT security strategy to protect the company’s infrastructure, data, and intellectual property
  • Ensure security protocols are followed across all systems, including endpoint protection, VPNs, firewalls, and encryption
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, including conducting vulnerability assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Provide security awareness training to Highgate employees
  • Work closely with leadership to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and corporate security policies

Incident Management & Troubleshooting

  • Lead efforts in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues quickly, often under time-sensitive circumstances
  • Manage IT incidents, ensuring clear communication and updates to Executives during issue resolution
  • Maintain detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, and preventative measures

IT Project Management

  • Lead and support IT-related projects, including system upgrades, installations, and improvements
  • Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to align technology with business goals

Vendor & Relationship Management

  • Liaise with external vendors, service providers, and consultants to ensure high-quality support and services are delivered
  • Manage relationships with vendors and ensure SLAs are met to maintain the IT ecosystem's integrity

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on executive support, system administration, and security management
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth individuals or C-suite executives, with a focus on providing exceptional service and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality
  • Strong background in security, with experience in data protection, threat management, and endpoint security
  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory administration and management
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, cloud platforms, and mobile device management
  • Experience in managing Apple ecosystems, including MacBooks, iPads, and iPhones, in a business environment
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar certifications preferred
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) is helpful
  • Knowledge of enterprise-grade backup and recovery solutions is preferred
  • Prior exposure to Box.com is beneficial but not required
  • Strong aptitude for learning and adapting to new software tools and technologies as needed
  • Possess exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
  • Exhibits a high attention to detail, particularly in security, confidentiality, and compliance matters
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-driven environment with demanding stakeholders
  • Displays a high sense of urgency, initiative, and prioritization in addressing tasks and responsibilities
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving with an ability to anticipate and mitigate issues
  • Willingness to travel if necessary
