Overview
BlueHalo is seeking the right candidate to join our Tailored Intel Solutions team as a Mission Support Specialist with unique opportunities to apply special technology solutions to real-world mission problems. This team is responsible for supporting capability development, managing unique customer expectations, evaluating and advising on technical threats, and conducting specialized capability training for our customers. Our team, located in Dulles, Virginia, integrates specialized mission capabilities into customer CONOPS, ensuring our solutions exceed evolving mission needs. This is a critical role that contributes to our customer capabilities, our company solutions, and our mission-first culture.

The Mission Support Specialist is responsible for overseeing many aspects of customer coordination and execution of critical customer support including but not limited to, training, deliveries, phone support, and mission solutioning. This role helps to bridge the product teams with the customer end-users and maintains the high level of support and shaping the future of the capabilities we deliver. Specific experience and expertise in low-vis operations and tradecraft, understanding of Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance (UTS), Technical Signature Reduction, and familiar with Special Operations Command practices – including technologies, security, and organizational structure – are necessary for this role. The Mission Support Specialist will work closely with our teams of cyber security engineers, hardware/software developers, infrastructure specialists, leadership, and other operational technologists to bring your operational knowledge to bear and help shape our solutions to meet our customers’ requirements. The Mission Support Specialist will also support testing our solutions through QA/QC processes, evaluating technologies, supporting integration with other technologies, and become the resident expert of these solutions. As required, you will work closely with customers to advise and support their Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) efforts for approvals of our solutions. Key Responsibilities include:
- Support customer hardware and software issues, including after hours on-call support
- Support development staff with real-world testing support and feedback on product pre-release candidates to ensure solution is mission deployable
- Conduct, and maintain a detailed customer training curriculum of our technical solutions for successful integration into mission
- Manage product kit deliveries – Ordering, tracking, kitting, provisioning, and shipping
- Cultivate constructive feedback from end-users, product managers, and other stakeholders to continuously improve training, product integration, development processes and solution impact
- Identify and shape organic growth opportunities through discussions, demonstrations, presentations, and written documents
- Monitor commercial and industry trends, news, and updates that can impact our products, solutions, and technologies
- Track UTS threats to our customer's mission and BlueHalo solutions
- Proactively communicate with team members, management, and other stakeholders
- Maintain a holistic security mindset
- Maintain Top Secret collateral USG clearance (additional clearances may be required)
- Represent BlueHalo values while enabling and improving our customers’ mission capabilities
You’re required to have this:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, 10+ years of U.S. military or intelligence experience, or equivalent experience and knowledge
- Current Active TOP SECRET U.S Government Security Clearance, with the ability to upgrade to customer-specific clearance requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of experience working within the SOF Enterprise
- Familiarity with SOCOM’s technology solutions and methodologies
- Strong mindset for UTS threats and mitigation strategies
- Familiarity with technical operations, computer network operations (CNO), mobile device security, technology deployments into high threat environments, secure communication practices, and digital forensics
- Frequent domestic travel with limited international travel – up to 25%
- Ability and strong motivation to learn new tools, techniques, and methodologies
- Willingness to support end-users to include after hours on-call support
- A security-minded approach to all activities
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and technical documentation skills
- Detail-oriented and critical thinking mindset
- Must have a passion for training others and the ability to make training interesting, relevant, and inspiring
- Experience and detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently

- Experience with signature reduction techniques
- Experience in designing technical course content and real-world street exercises
- Experience with Project Management processes
SALARY RANGE: $120,000 to $140,000

Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
