OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to enhance and implement a comprehensive Disaster Recovery strategy that meets regulatory requirements for our client’s organization. This is a consulting role that will first focus on road mapping and determining long-term staffing needs while simultaneously addressing immediate regulatory compliance demands. Our client is a digital financial services company; this project offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our client's resilience and compliance posture while working with a dynamic team.

  • Location: Seattle, WA (requires onsite 3x a week)
  • Duration: 6-9 months 
  • Rate: $90/hr - $130/hr DOE
    RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Lead the improvement/development and establishment of a robust Disaster Recovery program
  • Create a strategic roadmap for DR implementation and maintenance
  • Produce required documentation and artifacts to satisfy regulatory compliance
  • Assess current infrastructure and propose technical solutions for disaster recovery
  • Determine appropriate long-term staffing model and resource requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement DR strategies
  • Ensure compliance with various regulatory frameworks including ISO27001, NYDFS, DORA, PCI, JSC, etc.
    QUALIFICATIONS  
  • 10+ years of overall technical program management experience, with:
    • At least 5+ years of direct experience with Disaster Recovery planning and implementation
    • 3+ years working with regulatory compliance frameworks (ISO27001, NYDFS, DORA)
    • Preferably 2+ years of experience establishing or leading a DR program
  • Proven experience establishing and leading Disaster Recovery programs
  • Strong technical background in Disaster Recovery (DR) implementation
  • In-depth knowledge of Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance requirements including ISO27001, NYDFS, DORA, and related frameworks
  • Experience creating compliance documentation and artifacts
  • Relevant professional in DR/BCP experience and regulatory compliance work
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills
  • Strong communication abilities with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to develop strategic roadmaps and implementation plans
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • CBCP/MBCP (Certified/Master Business Continuity Professional)
    • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
    • CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
    • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor
    • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
    • PMP (Project Management Professional)
    • CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control)
    • CDPSE (Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer)
    • AWS/Azure/GCP Disaster Recovery certifications
