Your Mission

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, your role will be to analyze, define, and validate cybersecurity solutions for railway signalling systems. You will ensure that our solutions comply with industry standards, regulations, and security best practices while meeting customer requirements.

 

Key responsibilities

Cybersecurity Risk Assessment & Architecture

  • Perform security risk analysis on railway sub-systems and define mitigation strategies
  • Define secure architectures and specify cybersecurity requirements for system components
  • Identify where cybersecurity barriers should be implemented at the system level
  • Ensure security risk reduction measures align with European regulations and industry standards

Technical Analysis & Solution Validation

  • Work closely with system, software, and safety engineers to integrate cybersecurity principles into solutions
  • Validate cybersecurity implementations through documentation review and security analysis
  • Explain cybersecurity requirements to subsystem teams and ensure proper follow-up
  • Contribute to cybersecurity testing and validation strategies, ensuring system resilience

Stakeholder Coordination & Documentation

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align cybersecurity strategies across projects
  • Produce clear and structured cybersecurity documentation, including security cases and compliance reports

 

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (BAC+5) in Cybersecurity, Telecommunications, or related fields
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment methodologies, and secure system design
  • Open to recently graduated

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on cybersecurity topics across networks, architecture, governance, and system hardening
  • Experience with security frameworks, risk analysis, and technical documentation
  • Excellent communication and ability to explain cybersecurity concepts to non-specialists
  • Fluent in English, proficiency in French, German, or Italian is a plus

Nice-to-Have:

  • Knowledge of railway signalling systems or other safety-critical industries
  • Understanding of security validation processes and governance
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity regulations and compliance requirements in transportation

Mobility & Work Environment

  • Limited travel (<10%) across Europe (France, Germany, Italy, etc.)
  • Based in Charleroi, working in an international, cross-functional environment
