What you'll be doing:

At Atech x iomart, we don’t just protect systems—we proactively defend, detect, and respond to evolving cyber threats. We’re looking for an experienced Cyber Defence Engineer (L3) to join our Cyber Defence Centre, playing a critical role in securing our customers' platforms and driving strategic security improvements.

What you’ll do:

 

  • Conduct in-depth security posture analysis, identifying risks and implementing improvements across customer environments.
  • Define and prioritise security roadmaps, collaborating with internal teams and customers to drive remediation efforts.
  • Lead the delivery of security initiatives, ensuring best-practice execution and seamless communication with stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted security adviser, engaging directly with customers to provide technical insights and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support vulnerability management, leveraging industry-leading tools such as Microsoft Defender, Nessus, and SOCRadar.
  • Provide escalation support during security incidents, offering expert guidance and remediation plans.
  • Mentor and support junior cyber professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

We want to hear from you if you:

  • You have proven experience in cybersecurity, with hands-on knowledge of security operation, posture improvement, vulnerability management, and risk assessment.
  • Are familiar with Microsoft security technologies (Defender for Cloud, Defender for Office 365, Purview, Secure Score).
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to threat mitigation.
  • Are an excellent communicator, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Have previous experience with security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS) and incident response methodologies.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, SC-200/300/400 are a plus.
  • Have previous with any of the following - Microsoft/Linux server operating system hardening, Network Security, Active Directory/Entra, Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure and Microsoft 365 hardening

As an L3 Engineer, you’ll take the lead in shaping security roadmaps for customers, breaking down work into clear tasks for both onshore and offshore teams. You’ll also be the go-to person for offshore teams, helping secure customer approval on deliverables and representing their work in internal and external CAB meetings to keep everything running smoothly.
