We are growing rapidly and are looking for candidates with a background in performing security assessments on highly complex cloud-based systems in support of FedRAMP and NIST-based frameworks to support our growing customer base. The Sr. Security Consultant leads projects evaluating the security and compliance of clients against regulatory and industry requirements and standards, as well as security best practices. This role will have a strong understanding of compliance requirements in order to develop reports and documentation for clients. They will also provide quality control and peer review to other members of the delivery team. A Sr. Security Consultant must be able to lead a moderately complex NIST-based assessment from start to finish with little oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Leads moderately complex NIST-based assessments as Technical Program Manager (TPM), with the ability to instruct and provide oversite to a team of assessors
• Escalates client and project issues to management in a timely manner to inform and engage the necessary resources to address the issue
• Provides project-based feedback and professional mentorship to team members
• Interfaces with clients through entire engagement, interacting will all levels of client organizations and properly escalating 
• Leads project activities including preparation, review of documentation and artifacts, evaluation of procedures, and client interviews
• Works with junior staff to improve interviewing techniques to establish efficiencies in gathering the required information
• Develops and manages priorities, assignments, and charge authorizations for the project team
• Prepares, performs initial quality reviews, and approves deliverables
• Enforces a consistent writing style and approach to conducting assessments or developing documentation in accordance with defined practices
• Prepares client-ready deliverables to include ensuring these deliverables (e.g. SAP, SAR) are reviewed by the Quality Assurance Team
• Advises clients on compliance activities and their desired outcomes
• Officially take on up to 3 direct reports with the responsibility to mold and professionally grow each report
• Manages team, including overseeing talent decisions regarding performance management
• This is a customer facing role. You may be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services 

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent job experience
• 5+ years of professional services experience
• 3+ year of consulting experience assessing systems against NIST SP 800-53
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 product suite
• Strong technical acumen with regards to cloud security
• Active Top Secret SCI clearance
