Solution Architect - Platform (Temporary Opportunity up to 14 months)

In this role, you'll:

• Ensure the right expertise is brought together to support program deliverables for the SAP landscape, both from the internal pool of SMEs and partner network, including Platform, SaaS products and SAP competencies including heterogeneous operating system and database, Integration platforms and capabilities, Development and Mobility Toolset, User Experience, Access and Controls and Technical Architecture.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the SAP architecture, high level and detailed level designs for SAP systems hosted on public cloud. Use your expertise on Cloud governance and driving cloud cost reductions for a substantial enterprise ecosystem like Equip.
• Provide SAP Basis subject matter expertise for the following SAP applications including but not limited to S/4, SRM, CRM, Process Orchestration, Enterprise Portal, NetWeaver JAVA, Solution Manager, Gateway, GRC, SaaS offerings along with BTP.
• Pro-actively identify, mitigate, and manage risks and security concerns in public cloud SAP solutions.
• Work with the support partners to validate that high availability and disaster recovery builds meet the business requirements.
• Review and achieve approval of all architecture, high level and detailed level design documentation within the SAP Basis and platform domains.
• Define, manage, and deliver the maintenance strategy covering both application and underlying IaaS to support partner(s), as well as the automation capabilities as part of project deliverables.
• Collaborate with other Transport for NSW architecture, infrastructure, security, network, application managed services teams, business process and application product owners to gain key stakeholder support and approvals. Drive commercials and multi-vendor complex dependencies for project deliverables.

Fixed Term Full Time opportunity to end June 2026 based at Macquarie Park with Hybrid work arrangements (2-3 days a week in the office, but could extend up to 5 days in office to meet project timelines).

About you
A seasoned technical solution architect with a strong assurance mindset, you are recognised for your technical subject matter expertise in solutionising with functional resources to achieve project deliverables. You possess:

• Experience working at a senior level in a complex organisation delivering specialist and authoritative advice to executive leadership.
• Stakeholder management expertise and experience navigating complex government processes with the ability to drive performance in a complex, matrix business environments involving large stakeholder groups.
• Strong analytical ability, integration and problem-solving skills.
• Extensive experience with SAP and related solutions architecture, business and systems requirements, and technical design and analysis in a complex and maturing technical environment, is highly desirable.
• Exposure to cyber security considerations and collaboration with cyber security groups to review and strengthen security requirements.
• SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate) are advantageous.
• Highly developed communications skills with the ability to communicate and present research and data in a clear and concise manner to a range of key audience groups.
