At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Security Architect supporting Indian Health Service you will be trusted to work with clinicians, developers, and federal staff to promote, establish, and ensure stringent security standards across IHS systems.
How You will Make an Impact:
- Define and implement security architectures within the Federal government environments
- Prepare and submit documentation for Support Security & Privacy Self Assessment (SPSA) and Health Information Service Provider (HISP) accreditation.
- Review System of Record Notices (SORN) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) for various applications across the contract
- Focus on people, processes and necessary tools to support Secure SDLC for an agile development environment and technology operations
- Oversee security aspects within cloud environments in alignment with FedRAMP and NIST 800-53 standards
- Provide Authority to Operate (ATO) support by working with security team to design and implement security protocols, conducting risk assessments, and monitoring effectiveness of security measures to protect health data
- Ensure data protection, operational efficiency, and compliance with stringent security standards
- Participates in special projects as required

What You Will Need to Succeed:
- 5+ years of relevant experience (as outlined above) in Federal application security, aligning with FedRAMP and NIST 800-53 standards
- 5+ years of experience devising comprehensive security architectures
- Experience with Health IT, EHR systems, and Meaningful Use
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with adjusting priorities and deadlines
- Understanding of Agile processes
- Proven ability to work on a remote/distributed team
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with the Indian Health Service RPMS and/or Veterans Administration EHR systems
- Expertise in oversight of cloud security in GovCloud
- Proven track record of implementation and management of security measures in highly regulated environments, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency
Location: Remote within the USA
Clearance: Requires the ability to pass an IHS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years in order to obtain an appropriate level Public Trust clearance.

The likely salary range for this position is $96,034 - $128,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
