We're looking for a GRC team lead with exceptional writing, communication, and organizational skills to safeguard our customers and employees. The team lead will set policy and process governance, operationalize risk management strategies, and manage all compliance programs. In addition to leading the GRC team members, you will interface with sales and product teams as it relates to customer compliance and due diligence initiatives. As part of risk management, you will source risk from across Cybersecurity and CoStar to track risk throughout its lifecycle while ensuring adequate awareness and mitigation. As part of governance, you will establish and maintain security control policies aligned to ISO 27001.

This position is located in Arlington, VA or Richmond, VA and is onsite Monday – Thursday, option to work from home on Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Lead governance enhancements: Develop, implement, and maintain clear and comprehensive GRC policies, procedures, and standards to address risks, regulatory requirements, and compliance mandates. Ensure alignment with industry best practices and internal governance needs.
  • Operationalize GRC standards and frameworks: Lead cross functional collaboration with stakeholders to ensure risk mitigation plans are integrated into day-to-day operations and risk management processes are sustainable.
  • Continuous Monitoring & Improvement: Monitor GRC processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and efficiency. Act as a change agent to ensure the organization adapts to evolving regulatory requirements and risk management practices.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally across the enterprise to ensure compliance and risk management objectives are achieved. Foster supportive, collaborative environment that ensures the GRC function meets business needs effectively.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college.  
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers 
  • 5 years of experience working in a GRC program in a software focused company
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all stakeholder groups (Ex. customers, sales, engineering, and executives)
  • 2 years of experience with audit facilitation in areas such as SOX, SOC 1 and 2, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001.
  • 2 years of experience and knowledge of cybersecurity and risk management frameworks (NIST CSF/RMF, CIS, CSA CCM, ISO 27011)
