RTX Global Ethics & Compliance (“GEC”) has an outstanding career opportunity for a Global Ethics & Compliance Officer (“ECO”) to lead, grow, and transform the RTX ECO program. The Global ECO will be responsible for leading all aspects of the program, working closely with GEC senior leadership to develop and drive a strategic, proactive, collaborative, and harmonized approach that fosters and enhances our values-based culture of compliance across the global RTX enterprise. This position is for an experienced Director and will report to the Vice President & Counsel, Global Ethics and Compliance Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and executing on a strategy to drive a “OneRTX” program that: aligns on and implements best practices; engages with key leaders across the business to improve the understanding and communication of GEC initiatives; leverages data to identify emerging issues and implement corrective actions; establishes training requirements, best practices, and recertification requirements for the ECO network; and prioritizes the development of a global network of ethics and compliance professionals with the knowledge and tools to champion and improve the ethics and compliance culture across RTX.
This role requires the successful candidate to partner extensively across RTX and BU GEC functions, as well as with key partner functions (e.g., Human Resources, Security, Controllership, Internal Audit, etc.) to effectively drive and support existing and/or new compliance governance programs.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will work well in a high-energy, fast-paced environment, developing relationships with internal customers and collaborating with multiple business functions as a trusted business partner in providing guidance on GEC topics and championing our values. The responsibilities of the Director will include:
- Continuously identifying, adopting and leveraging best practices across the enterprise in a collaborative and flexible manner
- Utilizing all available data and information – from across GEC and other functions – to identify and assess emerging risks/trends, and develop appropriate responses, engaging with other functions as necessary
- Supporting and embracing stakeholders with ownership of top compliance risks to harmonize processes, policies and procedures
- Reviewing and enhancing processes around selection, training, recertification, and engagement with the RTX enterprise-wide ECO population
- Expanding, maintaining and leveraging programmatic relationships and engagement with key functional partners, including controllership, IA, HR, Communications, Quality/PSO, DT/Cyber, etc. to ensure relevant information flows to the ECO population
- Championing ethics and compliance as a whole-of-company responsibility and engraining RTX’s Code and values into the fabric of everyday work life
- Cultivating an informed, knowledgeable workforce that understands risks, policies, and rules relevant to them, and that is confident and safe in speaking up without fear of retaliation
- Enabling, empowering and developing a global network of ethics and compliance professionals with the knowledge and tools to serve as effective gatekeepers, who are accountable and committed stewards of our ethics and compliance culture.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, e.g., EU Whistleblower Directive, U.S. post-government employment rules, FAR Mandatory Disclosure, etc.
- Demonstrated experience leading a cross-functional, matrixed organization
- Strong knowledge and understanding of SAP and similar ERP systems
- Experience with Tableau, PowerBI and/or similar tools
- Experience setting and drafting policy and procedure documentation
- Experience using CORE, SixSigma, or other business processes improvement programs to drive efficiencies and improvements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

- Demonstrated history of collaborating with others and managing multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader. A deviation to work remotely would be considered for the candidate that meets all criteria.
The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
