As Deputy Programme Leader MSc Cyber Security (Distance Learning)

Must have's
Liaising with Lecturing team, Associate Dean (Computing) and Deputy Dean, NUL.
Responsible for management of the distance learning programme, ensuring content and activities which reflect discipline and university best practice.
Provide leadership for the programme, students and the programme team, including attendance at Student Staff Programme Committees.
Manage the delivery of the programme including coordination of module activity to support a positive student learning experience.
Co-ordinate assessment arrangements for the programme including liaison with the External Examiner/s where appropriate.
Co-ordinate / deliver an effective student induction to the programme including an accurate programme handbook.
Complete assurance, review and enhancement activity for the programme that will positively impact KPIs, Teaching Excellence and the achievement of University or national standards.
Oversee the day-to-day organisational and operational management of the programme, facilitating compliance with University policies.
Liaison with staff on operational issues
Create and maintain the programme eLP site in accordance with University standards.
Advise managers of significant issues impacting the student experience or the quality of programme delivery.
Support employability opportunities within the curriculum, including liaison with the Associate Dean and Deputy Dean (EE) to identify, promote and manage placement opportunities across the programme – including support for students on placement
Liaise with managers and Module Leaders to facilitate the managed continuity of delivery including solutions for issues arising from staff absences. checking draft programme and module-level timetables, communicating programme timetabling changes to staff and students swiftly and efficiently.
Coordinate assessment arrangements with Module Leaders and professional support staff
communicating the overall assessment schedule for a programme
promoting appropriate and timely feedback to students on assessments (max 20 working days)
facilitating and monitoring internal and external moderation using appropriate documentation
What We'll Do For You!
Attendance at Examination Boards
Work collegiately with the programme team to develop and deliver a programme curriculum that is current and reflects internal and external stakeholder expectations e.g. students, employers, professional bodies, national / international organisations (as appropriate).
Through liaison with module tutors, (and where appropriate other programme leaders) promote and support curriculum development and innovative learning, teaching and assessment approaches including use of Panopto for every taught session.
Deliver high quality teaching on PG and UG programmes including MSc Cyber Security (Distance Learning).
