The Role
We're seeking a Cybercrime Analyst to join our amazing Technical Operations team. Cybercrime Analysts have an opportunity to make a real difference in the world by identifying threats and acting to protect consumers from online attacks. You'll be a key part of the incident response team, finding innovative ways to rapidly disrupt cyber-attacks against our clients. And don't worry if you have limited experience in this area, as we can give you full training.
- Day to day, your responsibilities will include:
- Cybercrime incident response – communicating analysis of cyber threats to relevant parties to mitigate attacks;
- Classification of malicious websites, social media profiles, apps, emails, and phone numbers;
- Providing clear and professional feedback to customers on incidents and classifications;
- Sharing your ideas on how to improve processes and workflows.
Based at our Melbourne office, but with hybrid flexibility, you’ll report directly to a Technical Operations Team Lead and will work closely with colleagues across our global offices.
To be successful, you’ll need
- Attention to detail, adaptability, and strong intellectual and commercial curiosity;
- A positive and solution-focused approach;
- Interest in the internet and cybercrime prevention;
- Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written English;
- Ability to engage with people in a warm, helpful, and professional way;
- Self-motivation, ability to take initiative, and work as part of a team;
- Aptitude for analysing and using technical information;
- Competence in handling incoming phone calls;
- Some experience in cybersecurity is useful but not essential as full training will be provided;
- A degree in a relevant area, such as Cyber Security, Computer Science or IT may be useful but isn't essential.

- Competitive base salary, reviewed annually, plus a bonus scheme based on volume of work output

Your standard working days will be Saturday to Wednesday, 9am – 5pm. This is because Netcraft protects its customers 24/7, 365, which we'll discuss with you at interview.
