This position will be involved in strategic technology planning and will oversee the emerging technology engineering capabilities across the current and future security and Enterprise Platform Engineering & Operations (EPEO) portfolio. The ideal candidate should have a strong engineering background, proven desire to stay up with cutting edge trends, the ability to create a vision and execute a strategy to advance our security portfolio and/or emerging trends that occur in the enterprise technology organization. 

What you'll do...

  • Provide strategic vision for new infrastructure and supported systems by creating roadmaps/value maps in partnership with business stakeholders that aligns with the overall corporate strategy.
  • Ensure that the appropriate technology and methodologies are applied when translating business requirements into technical and functional solutions. 
  • Implement strategies to enable meeting goals and expectations; gather information, frame problems, devise/execute plans, track progress, adjust plans and demonstrate outcomes.
  • Extensive collaboration with technical and business facing stakeholders to direct engineering activities to design solutions that exceed customer expectations and drive significant business value.
  • Oversee a high performing engineering team and create an organization that delivers both compelling system vision and implementation.
  • Ability to strategically think, provide solutions, and influence outcomes to achieve objectives
  • Utilize futuristic tools, technology, and frameworks for enhancing business experience.
  • Build strong working relationships with business leaders to ensure the technology teams meet expectations and contribute to the achievement of business goals.
  • Own the development of a healthy product backlog, collaborating with various teams to break down business epics, document user stories (to also include things like addressing technical debt, SRE, etc.), design details and comprehensive acceptance criteria
  • Oversee management of relationships with consultants, vendors, and contractors and support negotiation of statements of work and business terms with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and develop strong relationships that cultivate new opportunities for value realization.
  • Plan and execute the department strategy to improve service delivery and the organization. 
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall success of the environment leading the improvement of functionality testing, operability, deployment, and performance improvements of the Security products
  • Proactively identify opportunities when key metrics on security, resilience and performance for your product (s) are not performing
  • Maintain technical and risk credibility with your own team(s) and with partners across our technology organization
  • Act as a technical advisor or thought leader across the enterprise 

You'll have... 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or related OR a combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with security and cloud engineering 
  • 7+ years as a primary technical team leader/mentor
  • 7+ years with engineering expertise with Fullstack, hands on, expertise with Infrastructure
  • 5+ years with Product/Service ownership responsibilities

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or related             

Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding, with hands on experience, of the IT Security infrastructure and engineering environments
  • Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life-cycle
  • Proven ability to lead highly technical conversations with technical leaders across the organization and supplier base.
  • Hands on experience solving security technical challenges 
  • Deep technical knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure or SaaS based applications.
  • Experience engineering reusable tools and self-service capabilities with automated infrastructure operations
  • Proven experience engineering solutions that improve the developer or user experience and productivity.
  • Robust knowledge of system design principles to include reliability, availability, and scalability
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks
  • Experience delivering large and complex programs - where you build and own the technical vision, collaborate with large cross-functional teams, secure commitments on deliverables, and unblock teams to land business impact
  • Proven ability to implement and prove out POCs with speed, vision and quality
  • Hands on experience engineering enterprise-level IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud systems.
  • Strong consulting and analytical skills and a risk management mindset
