Summary

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer who will be responsible for the design, implementation, security, and optimization of cloud solutions within a high performing DISA program. This role involves leading cloud migration efforts, ensuring compliance with security requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop and maintain cloud infrastructure. 

Responsibilities

  • Cloud Architecture & Design: Manage requirements analysis, conceptual design, detailed design, and implementation of cloud-based solutions. 
  • Cloud Migration: Support and execute cloud migration strategies, ensuring minimal disruption and optimized performance. 
  • Documentation & Compliance: Develop comprehensive cloud documentation, including design artifacts, security policies, and compliance reports. 
  • Customer Engagement: Prepare and present design review materials to customers and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with requirements. 
  • Cloud Security & Risk Mitigation:  
  • Understand and implement cloud security frameworks, information flows, and process architecture. 
  • Plan, prepare, and execute cloud security tasks in compliance with DoD standards. 
  • Develop and review cloud security architecture to identify and mitigate risks. 
  • Policy Implementation: Apply expertise in cloud security policies, procedures, and risk management strategies to ensure a secure cloud environment. 

Qualifications

  • Security Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance  
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, architecture, or security, preferably within a DoD or federal agency environment (DISA experience highly desirable). 
  • Certifications (Preferred):  
  • Cloud Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent. 
  • Security Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, Security+, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications. 
  • Skills & Competencies:  
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud security best practices. 
  • Strong understanding of DoD cloud security frameworks, including Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and FedRAMP compliance. 
  • Proficiency in automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

USD $165,000.00/Yr.

Posted Max Pay Rate

USD $200,000.00/Yr.

Salary Disclosure

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications. The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
