We are looking for an Internal Auditor - Digital & Technology (D&T) to join our team.
Where in Wellcome will I be working?
You will be working in the Internal Audit within, reporting to the Senior Internal Audit Manager.
This role involves executing audits and reporting tasks outlined in the annual Technology internal Audit plan, focusing on risk-based internal audits across operational and financial activities of the Wellcome Trust, its subsidiaries and significant grant recipients, in accordance with the Annual Audit Plan.
What will I be doing?
You will be instrumental in conducting thorough IT audits based on the Annual Audit Plan, identifying key risks and agreeing actionable recommendations, while building strong stakeholder relationships that balance guidance and commercial performance. You'll also support wider audit activities, collaborate across departments to champion diversity and inclusion, and ensure adherence to Wellcome's compliance policies, which all contributing to a dynamic and impactful organisational environment..
As an Internal Auditor - Digital & Technology, you will:
Conduct end-to-end IT audits for Wellcome's business activities following the Annual Audit Plan, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
Perform detailed audit tasks including planning, fieldwork, and audit close discussions with senior management.
Identify IT risks, develop control recommendations, and draft clear audit findings.
Monitor and report on management's progress in implementing audit recommendations using agreed reporting mechanisms.
Support audit and non-audit activities, including KPI monitoring and methodology development, while adhering to Wellcome's compliance policies.
Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments.

We are looking for someone who:
Conducts risk-based internal audits focusing on IT across Wellcome's operational and financial activities, as outlined in the Annual Audit Plan.
Executes comprehensive IT audits within specified timelines and quality standards, identifying key risks and providing actionable recommendations.
Maintains robust stakeholder relationships by offering guidance, challenging when necessary, and supporting commercial performance.
Holds a degree-level education with relevant industry qualifications like CISA, CRISC, or CISSP, and has demonstrable experience in IT auditing.
Demonstrates strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven capacity to influence senior management effectively.
Exhibits high levels of integrity, self-motivation, and a pragmatic approach to achieving results under pressure and tight deadlines.
