We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager (SPM) with expertise in PKI and cryptography to lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle of our high assurance credential management product portfolio. This role bridges product strategy, functionality and customer needs, driving products that meet the highest security standards while aligning with market demands related to smart card-based identities. The ideal candidate will have a product management and solution engineering background, hands-on experience with regulated and high assurance identity solutions, and a strong understanding of U.S. Federal and Local government uses cases for lifecycle of smart card-based identities.

As our Senior Manager, Product Management – Credential Management, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Mentoring, Managing and guiding a team of 2-3 Product Owners responsible for defining and driving credential management products such as HID Credential Management System (CMS), HID ActivClient, and HID ActivID Validation product family.
  • Driving product strategy and roadmap for assigned products in alignment with HID’s business objectives.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on the interpretation of PIV\PIV-I\CIV smartcard (FIPS 201) and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC) standards.  Translating these standards to credential lifecycle management requirements with the goal of addressing highly scalable deployments (1M+ users) of HID CMS, HID ActivClient, HID Validation, and a tailored solution for U.S. DoD.
  • Leading 1-2 SAFe Agile Release Train scrum teams in the capacity of a SAFe Product Owner for assigned products.
  • Acting as Pre-Sales and Solution Engineering support for assigned strategic or high value accounts.
  • Partnering & Collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, and Management to retain recurring revenue and expand new sales.
  • Collaborating and Supporting integration partners in acquisition and deployment of new customers and use cases for assigned products.
  • For assigned products, managing part numbers aligned with HID methodology enabling Sales, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to generate quotes, book orders, and recognize revenue.
  • Staying updated on industry regulations and standards (e.g., NIST, FIPS, FIDO) and ensure product compliance.
  • Collaborating with the engineering and supporting teams to translate requirements into stories and technical design documents, including data/process flow.

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field. Candidates with equivalent education, plus relevant industry experience, may also be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience managing small team (2-5 team members) of product managers\owners, solutions engineers, and/or pre-sales engineers.
  • Strong technical background with 7+ years in solutions engineering, security, or identity management.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing industry standards.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM are a plus.
  • Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) or Scrum Agile is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with deploying PKI or digital identity ecosystems, including credential management solutions, smart cards and smart card middleware. 
  • Knowledgeable of technical and functional requirements of PIV, CAC, PIV-I, CIV and U.S. Federal identity frameworks.
  • Knowledge of FIDO authentication standard and deployment in enterprise ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of emerging cryptographic standards like post-quantum cryptography is a plus.
  • Experience working with compliance frameworks (NIST, FIPS 140-2/3, HIPAA, etc.) and relevant industry bodies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.

The base salary for CA is $199,000 to $222,000.
