Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), Senior

As the Sr. ISSE, you will provide mission-critical support to our NAVAIR customer by performing the following:   

• Oversee the development and maintenance of a system’s cybersecurity solutions.
• Identify AO and SCA cognizance (i.e. FAO or NAO, and FSCA or SCA) of the system as well as any specific authorization requirements such as reciprocity, cross domain, and applicable overlays to support System Categorization. - 
• Develop program technical publications such as Systems Engineering Plans (SEP), Technical Plans, Analyses and Reports, Risk Assessments, Security Concepts of Operations (SECONOP), Program Protection Plan, Anti-Tamper Plan, Cybersecurity Strategy, Technology Development Strategies, Test Plans, procedures and reports, System Security Plans and related documentation.
• Perform vulnerability-level risk assessment on the POA&M/RISK Assessment Worksheet.
• Assist with any security testing required as part of A&A or annual reviews.
• Assist in the mitigation and closure of open vulnerabilities under the system’s change control process.
• Oversee cybersecurity testing to assess security controls and recording security control compliance status during the continuous monitoring phase of the lifecycle.
• Conduct certification and testing in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) policy; identify deficiencies and providing recommendations of risk mitigation to customer.

Requirements

Education, Experience, and Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related technical degree from an ABET-accredited institution, preferred. 
• 10 years of experience related to the description above, required.
• Able to understand overlays and apply technical solutions to meet security control and corresponding overlays. 
• Able to develop and interpret security architectures, data flow diagrams, engineering electrical/pinout drawings, and publications that depict the system(s) architecture.
• Knowledge of Modeling and Simulation Networks to include HLA and DIS.  
• Knowledge of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) views facilitating integration and promoting interoperability across capabilities and among integrated architectures.
• Experience with testing methods, automated tools, plans, and procedures for verification of compliance and vulnerability requirements.
• Must possess DoD Approved Baseline Certification as Information Assurance Management Level III (IAM-III) in accordance with DoD Directive 8140 (e.g., ClSSP, CISM, or CCISO).

Security Clearance Requirement:

• This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range:

• The estimated salary range for this position will be $145,000 - $180,000 annually, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
