Cyber Security Engineer

Your day to day:

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be in charge of measuring, improving and governing incident response activities for DDOS attack mitigation along with onboarding of assets and consulting best strategies to customers for threat mitigation. You will also be responsible for administering and managing the security platform aiming for maximum availability for the service.

You will collaborate with global team and markets and be involved in strategizing, optimizing and mitigating threats on the customers and organization infrastructure.

You will be auditing all the incidents and strategizing ways of efficiently classifying alerts vs incidents. Optimization of the configuration and incident response process as well as assessing all the threats globally and implementing countermeasures to mitigate the threats on the security platforms.

• Develop and implement strategies for DDoS attack detection and mitigation
• Risk assessment of the current configurations on the security platform and identify potential gaps
• Design and onboard customer configs on the security platform with countermeasures and filters aligning with the customer architecture
• Liaising with customers for troubleshooting cyber incidents
• Research and evaluate strategies to detect and mitigate DDoS cyber threats
• Provide expert guidance and advice to senior management on latest threats and mitigation strategies
• On call support needed during weekdays/weekends to guide engineers with escalations/issues.
• Configuration lifecycle management of the security configuration
• Develop and implement DDoS incident response plans and procedures tailored to suit customers.
• Attack vector analysis and active participation in incident remediation real time activities.

With these skills you are a great candidate:

• University degree

• Minimum 4 years of experience with:
  Cyber Incident response
  Cyber threat mitigation (real time hands on)
  Deep Packet inspection
  DDoS attack mitigation (real time hands on)
  DDoS attack detection
  Radware Defence Pro
  Radware defence flow
  Arbor DDoS protection
  Application layer attack mitigation

• Certified ethical Hacker

• CISSP certification

• SANS GCIH certification

• OSCP
