Responsibilities

MTSI is currently seeking a Security Specialist  to support Army Aviation. 

Job Responsibilities: 

Will be responsible for effectively write, update security policies and procedures to include:

• personnel processing, conduct security briefings/debriefings, security education and awareness, visitor control, marking and control of documents /materials, destruction of classified documents/materials. violation investigations and reports, assisting with COMSEC.
• Administer the personnel security clearance processes by using DISS system to submit initial clearance submissions, upgraded clearances and periodic reinvestigations
• Provide guidance and instruction to employees to ensure completion of security paperwork, collection, and submission of electronic fingerprinting of initial and upgraded clearance.
• Knowledge of the government security processes
• Highly motivated, dynamic, responsive, and professional team player
• Excellent customer service, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Exceptional presentation/briefing skills
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Assisting in providing situational awareness and/or reporting on the impact to operations, infrastructure, and personnel during an incident or event.
• Supporting the implementation of plans, processes, and procedures related to a specific incident or situation.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree with 5 years relevant experience. 

Required Skills:

• Must have prior experience writing and updating security policies 
• Prior experience conducting security briefings, security education and awareness
• Knowledge of government security processes 
• Experience with basic office automation tools 

Must have an Active Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required.
