Lead the security and compliance of Veterans Affairs (VA) systems. Leverage emerging security solutions and technologies in alignment with Government-defined standards and policies, to protect the organization’s systems and information and enable achievement of the organization’s objectives. Use deep expertise in cybersecurity, working closely with IT teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions for safeguarding sensitive data, improving infrastructure, and remediating vulnerabilities. Work with solution outcome-based results for Federal audits, across multiple security frameworks, and provide leadership in cybersecurity initiatives to enhance the protection of VA systems. Provide Cybersecurity Engineering and Solution Design, Audit Remediation, Incident Management and Response, Compliance and Risk Management, Documentation and Reporting, and Continuous Improvement and Innovation.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity in large organizations
Experience with presenting and communicating executive and legislative briefings
Experience incorporating emerging cybersecurity technologies
Ability to build functional teams and lead new capability development based on mission requirements and client needs
Ability to lead fast-paced delivery in challenging commercial environments, work with senior leaders to foster positive client relationships, identify new business opportunities with existing clients, and develop new intellectual capital
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with cybersecurity in the Veterans Affairs
Knowledge of Open Security Controls Assessment Language (OSCAL) or similar concepts such as RMF, SCAP, CSA CMM, XCCDF, OpenC2, CIS Benchmarks or Controls, and CSM
Ability to build excellent relationships with technology vendors and develop mutually beneficial partnerships
Ability to distill mission requirements from client interactions, driving vision and strategy tactfully with the government client for machine learning and analytic solutions
Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Possession of excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision making, planning, organizational, and client facilitation skills
Possession of excellent interpersonal skills, including comprehension, conflict resolution, teamwork, and relationship building skills
CISSP, OSCP, GCIH, or CEH Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $139,400.00 to $259,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
