Business Integrity & Compliance Consultant

Gurugram, India / Mumbai, India

Your new role

As our new Business Integrity & Compliance Consultant, you will be part of Ramboll’s Integrity, Information Security & Data Compliance function who (amongst many things) develops and implements anti-corruption, sanctions and human rights policies, processes and controls in accordance with internationally recognized risk management standards and guidance.

We develop and implement anti-corruption policies, processes, and controls in accordance with internationally recognized risk management standards and guidance. Key tasks and responsibilities will be to

  • Conduct project compliance risk assessments of the tenders that Ramboll is submitting globally using internal project/tender databases and internet searches to identify regional- and country-specific compliance issues and risks (within the fields of anti-corruption, sanctions and human rights).
  • Assist our Head of Global Integrity Operations in providing project risk mitigating actions based on pre-designed options.
  • Conduct compliance due diligence screenings on business associates and clients (within anti-corruption, sanctions and human rights).
  • Support in managing necessary engagement and actions within the organization to support implementation of the compliance programme.
  • Provide data monitoring and auditing support for the Head of Global Integrity Operations.

Qualifications

Eligibility criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or similar within a relevant area of expertise.
  • 2-5 years of experience within anti-corruption due diligence, preferably from an international company with offices in either EU, US, Australia, Canada, Norway or the like.
  • Having an organized mindset and way of working, understanding the value of clear and timely communication both to your direct manager, your team members and our other stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of the requirements of a robust Compliance Programme, cf. international standards such as ISO 37001 or other risk management standards
  • Great knowledge about international anti-corruption and anti-bribery legislation, e.g. the US FCPA or UK Bribery Act and experience in working with these. Knowledge of any local anti-corruption regulations is a plus.
  • Experience with conducting third party due diligence and screenings - good analytical skills and ability to sort out relevant information from large amounts of information.
  • Fluent English skills (written and spoken) and able to communicate in precise terms across different cultures.
  • Good knowledge of sanctions and human rights and experience in sanctions and human rights screening will be an added advantage for the candidate.

Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Experience in due diligence / compliance
  • Knowing multiple languages is a plus, but not a must (English is a requirement)
