This position will support and provide expertise to a successful cybersecurity and privacy program for a government customer, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, integrating, and maintaining systems and tools to automate complex cyber activities.

Work Location: Hybrid work requirement, with up to one (1) day required on-site in Washington, D.C., and the balance of the week performed remotely, based upon the needs and directions of the customer.

Basic Required Qualifications and Skills: Note: These are mandatory items that all candidates must have when submitting an application to IMC for this position.   •  Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or related field of study.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in computer security may substitute for a degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • 3+ years of experience in automation.
  • At start date, must possess one of the following professional certifications in ACTIVE Status.
  • CISM, CISSP, CEH, LPT, CPT or GSLC.
  •  Similar level certifications considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Knowledge of the following:
  • NIST Cybersecurity, Privacy and Risk Management frameworks and associated requirements.
  • Network protocols and infrastructure.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning applications.
  • CI/CD processes and pipeline tools.
  • Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  •  Experience with:
  •  Scripting and coding using languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash

Experience with:

  • Scripting and coding using languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Automation tools and frameworks, such as Ansible, Kubernetes, GitHub, or Terraform.
  • Various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and Firewalls.
  • Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience demonstrating strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills for cybersecurity.
  • Excellent attention to detail (thoroughness, accuracy, and consistency) for all teamwork products.
  • Ability to work with and communicate effectively across multi-functional teams and audiences of varying seniority and expertise.
  • Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Please note pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a federal background investigation of Tier 4 Critical Non-Sensitive (Form SF 85P).

Desired Qualifications and Skills: It is desirable that the candidate have the following qualifications:

 

  • Experience in Health and Human Services as a Government Employee or Contractor.
  • Cloud Certification (CCSK, AWS, Azure, CompTIA Cloud+, CCSP, etc.)
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap 5 for front-end development.
  •  Experience working in an Agile environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Design, code, and implement automation scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks, such as software deployments, system configurations, and infrastructure management.
  •  Build and maintain tools to support cybersecurity processes and apply foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
  • Develop custom integrations for actions and ingestion in SOAR platform.
  • Analyze current business and cyber processes to identify areas where automation can improve efficiency, reduce errors, and save time.
  • Write scripts and code in languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate tasks and processes.
  • Utilize and manage automation tools and frameworks, such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
  • Monitor the performance of automated systems and processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth operation of automated workflows.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation for all projects, automated scripts, processes, tools, and playbooks.
  • Work with other IT professionals, developers, and stakeholders, to implement and maintain automation solutions. A part of Agile development teams, deliver an end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment.
  •  Other duties as assigned.
