The Opportunity:

CACI has a full-time position for an experienced Sr. Systems Administrator team member to provide technical support for a U.S. Navy customer located in Japan.   

Responsibilities:


•    Provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of complex software programs to enhance operating systems. 
•    Provide analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware and software operating systems for the organization. 
•    Identify system requirements for operations and security. Work with other engineers and staff to develop designs and integrate components. 
•    Perform system designs, development and product verification testing.
•    Develop operations, management, and integration of security requirements. 
•    Develop security procedures for design review, operational monitoring, recording, and response to security events. 
•    Develop and document system architecture. 
•    Develop the Command operations & system integration plan.
•    Define operations, security and integration tool requirements to allow users to evaluate and analyze their network resources for performance and scalability in test-bed and modeled environments. 
•    Provide technical expertise in development, deployment, operations, security, and integration for the network and IT projects. 
•    Manage and tune platforms to ensure expected availability and performance levels are achieved. 
•    Coordinate the activities of the systems engineering branch with other sections of the corporation's information systems operation. 
•    Ensure compliance with DOD, DON, and Command policies and requirements.

Documented experience in the following:

  • Extensive experience in resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure systems are operating within specifications. 

  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, storage, and network connectivity. 

  • Provide system administration for infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users. 

  • Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment.

  • Recognized subject matter expert within the organization. 

  • Experience in managing large projects and works with technical team within the project plan.

  • Works independently with limited manager oversight.


Qualifications:

Required: 

•    Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of experience or 8+ years of relevant experience with no degree. (Degree can include Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field.  Related technical experience includes working with systems and virtualization technologies, tools, and techniques, with 4+ years of experience working with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a high paced, diverse environment.)
•    In-depth understanding and experience with the DOD Architecture Framework and other key DOD network architecture and strategic planning instructions.
•    Installation, operations, and maintenance of the following products/services:
•    Microsoft Windows Server/components, SQL Server, MS-CCM/COM, SharePoint Server, Print, Data Backup Systems, Security Info/Event services,  Virtualization, scripting, change/configuration management
•    Ability to lift up to 50lbs. 
•    Background in U.S. Navy IT systems/communication infrastructure preferred 
•    Working knowledge and experience of DOD IT security policies, directives, and instructions.
•    Ability to work in coordination with customer team environment with commensurate written and verbal skills.
•    DOD secret security clearance is required to qualify.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300 - 189,600 USD
