Please take this opportunity to join one of GDIT’s fastest long-standing growing programs!  US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the Southwest Asia BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides end-user software troubleshooting and support.
  • Installs, configures, and upgrades computer hardware and software.
  • Provides troubleshooting and support.
  • Applies advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions.
  • Is part of a team with personnel located throughout the Southwest Asia (SWA). Will be required to support customers at local and remote sites.
  • Collaborates with third party service providers to ensure customer facing services are available when required.
  • Screens, refers, and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers and related systems.
  • Analyzes customer needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements.
  • Review performance reports, service improvements, service quality and processes.
  • Provide management and performance reports.
  • Ensure that practices and processes exist and when it is possible are standardized and repeatable.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in computer troubleshooting and support.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.
  • May require professional certification in one or more specific technologies, depending on job assignment.
  • Will occasionally be required to perform networks, systems, information assurance and logistics duties.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience required.
  • Must possess and maintain a US TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a visa based on the country requirements.
  • Must be able to pass requirements necessary to be medically cleared by the USCENTCOM Clinic or a third-party vendor, within a reasonable time period, as determined at the sole discretion of the customer. This includes meeting medical, dental, and psychological requirements, being able to obtain all required immunizations, and not being in a high risk status for COVID-19 as defined by the customer.
  • BA/BS degree - may substitute additional years of experience.
  • This position is deemed a DoD IA Workforce, IAT Level II position and requires 8570/8140 compliance.
  • A candidate must meet the following requirements:
  • Baseline – Security+ ce, CySA+, or CCNA Security. Higher certifications such as CASP+ ce, CCNP Security, or CISSP are acceptable.
  • Compute – a valid Microsoft certification such as MCSA / MCSE for Microsoft Server 2016.
  • Must obtain ITIL V3, or V4, Foundation within six months of hire.
  • Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.
  • Must possess valid US passport and US driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting multinational customers preferred.
  • Experience operating in deployed environments preferred.
  • Selected candidate must be willing to travel throughout the Middle East. Travel may be via commercial or military transport. Modes of transport include, but are not limited to; car, truck, armored vehicle, fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
  • This position is supporting a fluid military mission. You may be required to travel (temporarily or permanently) to different operating locations within the CENTCOM AOR. Travel may be via commercial or military transport. Modes of transport include, but are not limited to; car, truck, armored vehicle, fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
  • The position will be based in Iraq. There is no guarantee at which base in Iraq the position will be located. The position may be relocated at any time within the country of Iraq to meet mission support requirements. Work location/rotation of locations will be at the Task Order Lead’s discretion.
  • Candidate will be expected to live alongside deployed military personnel in military provided accommodation. Housing options include but are not limited to; open bay tents and multi-personnel containerized housing units “CHUs”.
  • The work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.

The likely salary range for this position is $69,264 - $89,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
