The Aer Lingus Cyber Security team manages cyber security across the organisation, working closely with Technology, Operations & Business Departments to protect our digital assets and keep our customers safe and secure. This role will work in our Governance, Risk and Compliance function, and will include risk management, governance reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. We also work closely with other teams to analyse gaps in security compliance requirements and develop corrective action plans to mitigate cyber security risks and threats to the airline.
You will be a key member of a dedicated team focusing on implementation of cyber security solutions, technologies and processes (Governance, Risk, Compliance).

Entry Level Cyber Security
Your role
Principle Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Governance and oversight of cyber security controls.
- Collaboration with Business Departments and Technology teams to identify, document and assess cyber security risks including security risks in our supply chain.
- Development and implementation of risk mitigation and treatment plans with Business and Technical stakeholders to minimize risks and prevent future attacks.
- Monitoring and maintenance of the Cyber Security Risk Register.
- Establishing security policies and procedures to protect sensitive systems and data.
- Ensuring that security measures align with relevant policies, frameworks and regulations.
- Researching and analysing emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Staying up to date on the latest security trends and ensuring existing strategies evolve as needed to keep pace with changes in the threat landscape.
- Preparation of reports on security risk metrics and recommendations to management on risk management measures.
- Facilitation and co-ordination of internal and external audit activity.
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Your qualifications and key criteria
We are looking for an individual with experience / qualifications in the following areas:
- You must have a technology related degree.
- You must have graduated with a minimum of a 2:1 in your Undergraduate / master’s degree or be expecting to have attained a 2.1 prior to the commencement of the programme.
- Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Enjoy taking on new challenges and problem solving.
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
- Provide two verifiable references.
- Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5-year background check.
*If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from those country/countries.
