Position Summary...

About the team
Content quality is a dedicated group within Walmart and is
responsible for evaluating and ensuring the overall quality of all
item content, including coverage, conformity and accuracy and
adherence to guidelines, essentially acting as a quality control
check for all item data across various platforms
What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using  Spring Boot
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
• Work with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Implement unit and integration tests.
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Java and Spring Boot technologies and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Work with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Work within an agile/scrum development environment.

What You’ll bring
 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Java Developer with a strong focus on Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of Java core concepts and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, etc.).
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of software development best practices.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
 

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with microservices architecture

Option 2: 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
