About the role

Join our team of world class problem solvers! Tier Tech International, Inc. is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Specialist to join our current team at Camp Humphreys, Pyeongtaek, South Korea, providing Information Systems Technical Support, Architecture, Engineering, and Cybersecurity Accreditation Support.


What you'll do

Supports, designs, maintains and monitors internal and external networks. Implements and manages or supports management on systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Resolves network performance issues and establishes a disaster recovery plan. Recommends upgrades, patches and new applications and equipment. Provides technical support, guidance, and training to end-users. Performs as individual contributor in development or delivery and begin to participate in the design and improvement of information products. Expertise in both GOTS and COTS products, industry, and/or technologies. Developing documentation and assisting in end-user training coordination and liaison support. Provide support in evaluating and improving system performance, ensuring deployed systems are appropriately hardened to pass cyber security accreditations, providing support for training and exercise events, and providing help desk and technical support functions such as account maintenance, end user support, and other tasks as required. Relies on limited knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals. Works under general supervision and reports to first-line Senior IT Specialist, though some ingenuity and flexibility is required.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Minimum of 5 Years Experience; OR Equivalent)
  • Active DoD Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) Status
  • Experience providing support in a U.S. Joint Coalition Environment
  • DoD 8570 Baseline Certification(s)
  • Experience with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Accreditation Process
  • Experience supporting both U.S. Unclassified, Classified, and Joint Classified (CENTRIXS-K) Networks
  • Functional Role Experience:
    • Systems and Network Engineering
    • Cybersecurity Support
    • Engineering and Architecture Support
    • End-user Technical Support, Coordination, and Training Support
    • Liaison Support between CONUS and OCONUS Organizations
  • Experience and familiarity configuring, administering, and troubleshooting:
    • Web Application Servers (Java, Tomcat, IIS)
    • Microsoft SQL (MSSQL) Database Servers
    • Postgres SQL Database Servers
    • Cisco Networking Devices (Switching, ASA)
    • VMware vCenter and/or ESXi Host(s)
    • Server / Data Center Hardware
  • Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools.
  • Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure in a Virtual Data Center environment
  • Liaising with vendors, other IT personnel, and Government POCs both CONUS and OCONUS for problem resolution
  • Proactively ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • In-Theater Travel in support of Technical Support, Systems Maintenance and Inventory Audits, Theater / Unit-Level Exercises

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting United States Forces Korea (USFK)
  • Implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Checklists
  • Participation in After Action Reviews (AARs) and Working Groups (WG)
  • Analyzing system logs, performing routine system audits, performing system backups/recoveries as required, installing and configuring new hardware and software, and applying system updates including patches and license renewals.
  • Experience and familiarity configuring, administering, and troubleshooting:
    • Redhat Linux
    • Trellix (McAfee) ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)
    • Tenable Nessus Vulnerability Scanning
    • ActiveMQ and Apache Karaf
    • Building and maintaining Virtual Machine (VM) images (VMware)
    • Installs, configures and troubleshoots data center environments
