The Role

BeyondTrust is seeking a Customer Trust Manager to strengthen our Customer Trust program and support revenue-generating activities. This role serves as a critical bridge between the Sales, Product, and Technology teams, ensuring our security and compliance practices align with industry standards and customer expectations.

As a key member of our team, you will engage directly with customers and prospects to address security inquiries, manage security assessments, and drive continuous improvement in our security posture. Reporting to the Director of Trust & Security, this position requires a mix of technical expertise, compliance knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills to build trust and enhance our security and compliance initiatives.

What You’ll Do

Customer Security Engagement

  • Act as a primary point of contact for security-related customer inquiries, including questionnaires, assessments, and audits.
  • Effectively communicate implemented security controls, compliance posture, and risk management approach to customers.
  • Develop external-facing resources such as white papers and due diligence documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Security, Legal, and Product teams to support customer engagements.
  • Influence product roadmaps by analyzing customer security requirements and advocating for security enhancements.
  • Ensure alignment between customer security expectations and BeyondTrust’s security programs.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Monitor compliance with customer and partner contractual obligations.
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry trends to provide strategic recommendations.
  • Assist with reviewing security-related clauses in customer and vendor contracts, as applicable.

Process & Program Improvement

  • Own and refine security review processes, tools, and documentation to improve efficiency.
  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to track customer trust initiatives.
  • Manage security-related SaaS tools to streamline customer interactions.

What You’ll Bring

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Information Security, Risk Management, or Compliance.

Technical & Compliance Expertise

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, FedRAMP).
  • Experience in a SaaS organization managing customer security reviews and supporting enterprise sales processes.
  • Familiarity with security certifications, principles, control implementation, and best practices.

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills—able to translate complex security topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, SaaS management, and governance platforms.

Nice To Have

  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent security/compliance certifications.
  • A strong sense of ownership and the ability to drive initiatives independently.
