Work you’ll do/Responsibilities
- Consult with clients on the system design of AWS environments
- Manage cloud implementations, upgrades, migrations, and change requests on client cloud environments
- Lead, create, implement, and assist in the development of scripts to automate everyday operations
- Monitor and maintain multiple (DevOps) environments based on client requirements
- Responsible for the configuration and setup of backups as well as setup automated AWS patching for Windows and Linux platforms
- Lead development teams to build and deploy micro services-based applications in public cloud with Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment tools and processes
- Lead program optimization to work within constructs of an AWS environment
- Mentor and guide junior level resources on the team

The US Cloud Engineering Offering focuses on enabling our client’s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of Cloud Strategy and Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development & Integration, Cloud Migration, and Cloud Infrastructure & Managed Services. Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility, resilience and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients toward a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions, Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience with Kubernetes runtimes such as OpenShift, RKE2, or EKS
- Proficient in Kubernetes design patterns such as sidecar, init, behavioral and structural patterns.
- Skilled in debugging Kubernetes-based applications using kubectl or other terminal-based tools to gather logs and diagnose issues with failing applications
- Proficient in utilizing Kubernetes Tekton for automating CI/CD pipelines, enabling efficient and scalable deployment processes within containerized environments
- Experience administering ArgoCD and leveraging its continuous deployment features
- Experience architecting and deploying AWS or Azure cloud services and infrastructure driven with Terraform IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
- 4+ years of experience in at least one of the following scripting/programming languages for automating and developing solutions using Golang, Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies Docker, Podman, or containerd
- Strong understanding of developing and deploying Helm Charts and Kubernetes Operators
- Experience in configuring and managing applications within an Istio service mesh
- 3+ years of developing solutions with security technologies like Keycloak, Redhat IdM, and Hashicorp Vault, along with experience in managing secret storage, user authentication, certificate management, and application TLS
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices with a focus in GitOps driven automation, development and testing with a strong working knowledge in Git source control management
- Experience with CIS (Center for Internet Security) benchmarks and STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guides) compliance
- Must live in a commutable distance (approximately 100-mile radius) or be willing to relocate to the following Delivery location: Gilbert, AZ with the ability to commute to assigned location for the day, without the need for overnight accommodations
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. This may include overnight travel.
- Expectation to co-locate in your designated Delivery location up to 30% of the time based on business needs. This may include a maximum of 10% overnight client/project travel
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- Kubernetes Certification (CKA, CKAD, CKS)
- AWS Certification
- Active Security Clearance
