In this role, you'll:
 

• Join our Operational Technology team and help us to lead the way in the integration of Cyber Security controls and solutions into Operational Technology (OT) systems. Our Operational Technology Unit are responsible for ensuring high availability and reliability of Control Systems, Wireless and Fixed voice and data networks, Condition Monitoring and Passenger Information infrastructure and Cyber Security of Operational Systems.
 

• Focus on uplifting and enhancing security tools. You’ll implement secure practices for the monitoring of OT and Industrial Automated Control System (IACS) systems security, to ensure the risk of equipment and data loss, theft or tampering is

minimised. You’ll also report on the performance and utilisation of the tools.
 

• Investigate escalated security incidents and events and conduct post incident reviews and analysis. You’ll be responsible for threat hunting

About you
 

• Tertiary qualified in a relevant Engineering, Technology or Cyber Security discipline or have equivalent experience and bring demonstrated knowledge of IEC 62443 standards and ISO27001, NSW CSP and/or NIST Framework.
 

• Demonstrated experience in using technical tools to support security operations including SIEM, Advanced Threat Detection, Vulnerability Management, Firewalls, IDS, IPS, WAF and EDR, as well as application control and microsegmentation. 
 

• You bring a passion for cybersecurity and the curiosity to learn and keep updated on new developments. You’re also a critical thinker and have Cyber Security experience in a large, complex organisation, ideally in an OT environment. 

You’re looking for an opportunity that will give you exposure to high level government strategy and help shape NSW government’ cyber security vision. You’ll enjoy the unique challenges of OT Cyber Security in a rail environment, involving real-time systems and critical infrastructure.
