About the Role

We are seeking a Junior IT Security Analyst with software development experience and knowledge of containerization technologies and CI/CD pipelines to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for emerging technologies including cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Information Security teams to define and implement access permissions for applications
• Monitor security configurations in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Support security assessments of CI/CD pipelines and identify potential vulnerabilities
• Assist in implementing security controls within Linux environments
• Maintain security documentation and make it available to application users
• Contribute to regular security reviews of applications including patches, reliability, and disaster recovery plans
• Support security monitoring and analytics tools to enhance transparency and compliance
• Problem-solve technical security issues in existing applications
• Work with cloud security configurations in AWS environments

Required Skills & Experience

• Software development experience
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Proficiency with OpenShift for container orchestration and management
• Familiarity with Rancher for container management
• Understanding of AWS cloud security principles and services
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins)
• Linux system administration skills
• Understanding of application monitoring and security practices
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• Understanding of data analytics and reporting for security metrics
• Experience with application security configurations and optimizations
• Knowledge of AI-powered analytics and monitoring tools
• AWS certifications (Security Specialty, Solutions Architect)
