As CDW Senior Field Solution Architect–Security, you’ll have the power, opportunity, and expertise to dive deeper into the stack than most. Focusing on pre-sales security solution design, it’ll be your job to evaluate and understand the sales environment, including customer expectations, competitive environment as well as the customer's technical environment, and define actions to be performed in the sales cycle timeframe.
What you’ll do:
Partner with internal and external sales teams to plan and organize sales strategies for the CDW security practice
Engage in continuous learning by proactively expanding technical depth in products, solutions, and services and acquiring certifications in advanced technologies for CDW's security partner certification requirements when appropriate
Provide feedback to technology leaders where opportunities exist to improve offerings, design, and delivery execution
Influence, guide, support and collaborate with customers within CDW Canada Strategic Partners Technologies/Solutions to develop their IT security strategy
Conduct business-focused security solution presentations at CDW, customer, and Partner events and meetings in your territory
Collaborate with Partners, Inside Solution Architects, and Account Executives to develop a detailed Territory Plan to guide mapped opportunities; fine-tune strategies and approaches to achieve greater sales results
Develop a detailed Territory Plan in collaboration with Partners, Account Executives, and Inside Solution Architects and use it to manage their security business
What you need to succeed:
Must-have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
8-10 years in an IT consulting or senior IT operations role
Extensive security architecture knowledge and experience in planning, implementation, testing in addition to creation and rollout of security standards, policies, and procedures
Showed proficiency of written and verbal communication skills (including technical writing and presentations) with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, both internally and externally
Self-starter, flexible, adaptable, highly organized, and proactive
Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced work environment and to demonstrate thoughtful leadership in assessing problems/opportunities and recommending an approach to solving problems and pursuing opportunities
Skills and experience with the following technologies are desired: Information Security Policies, IT Security Standards and Governance (PCI, ISO 27001, COBIT), Vulnerability Management / Assessment, Risk Management/Assessment, Security Awareness, Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.)
Nice-to-have:
Ability to obtain and maintain relevant industry standard certifications
Pay range: $ 97, 000- $ 124, 000, depending on experience and skill set
