Solution Architect, Integration

Reporting to the Director of Application Services , the role of Solution Architect, Integration is to collaborate and contribute to the overall design and implementation of seamless connectivity of  systems and applications that supports J.D. Irving, Limited strategic goals and business requirements.

• Contribute to Integration strategy development in Domain
• Ensure the architecture of the area or solutions adhere to JDI Enterprise Architecture practices
• Design and implement integration end to end solutions
• Continually assess area for performance, cost efficiency and security
• Work closely with all areas to ensure collaboration and integration of work activity
• Develop, coach and educate other Solution Architects and Solution Designers on Integration concepts and methods
• Execution of architectural artifacts and creation of Reference Architectures and Solution Designs
• Integration Solution leadership for complex projects
• Ensure adherence to JDI IT direction and mandates for Risk and Compliance
• Ensuring Disaster Recovery and High availability in place, where needed
• Engage and maintain relationships with key Integration vendors and service providers

• Education Required: Bachelor of Computer Science, Information technology or related field
• Progressive Solution Design experience for complex items
• Ability to educate and influence
• Strong communication written and Oral to be able to “Tell the Story”
• Expertise in integration technologies, such as Enterprise Service Bus, API Management, Messaging systems, and data integration tools.
• Experience in data integration and transformation
• Experience in cloud and hybrid integration
• Experience in service-oriented architecture and microservices
• TOGAF Certified ( The Open Group Architecture Framework)

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Cloud Professional Architect- AWS or Azure or IBM
• API Management Certification- IBM (Software AG)
• Change Management- Taking charge of change
• Six sigma yellow, green, or blue belt (nice to have)​
