What You’ll Do
As a highly skilled and experienced Data Security Engineer/Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's sensitive data assets. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust data security measures, identifying and mitigating potential data security risks, and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our critical information.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll get to:
- Develop, implement, and manage data security standards and guidelines to safeguard sensitive information.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities in data storage, transmission, and processing.
- Evaluate, specify and select encryption and tokenization solutions to protect data at rest, in transit, and during processing.
- Collaborate with the incident response team to promptly investigate and respond to data security incidents.
- Evaluate, specify and select a data classification framework to categorize data based on sensitivity.
- Monitor data security logs and alerts to identify and respond to suspicious activities.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and compliance, to align data security measures with overall security objectives.
- Provide expertise and support in data security matters during the development and implementation of new systems and applications.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies, and proactively apply this knowledge to enhance our security measures.

You also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in data security engineering and analysis.
- In-depth understanding of data protection concepts, encryption algorithms, and cryptographic protocols.
- Experience with data classification, data ownership, labeling, data extraction, sharing, backup, and retention.
- Familiarity with data loss prevention (DLP) technologies and strategies.
- Experience with data security/information protection tools such as Varonis and Microsoft Purview.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
