The Opportunity:
Join our team as a Senior Principal Cyber Network Engineer in Chantilly, VA where you will be responsible for expanding network architecture of various vendor network devices, such as routers, switches, load balancers and firewalls. You will work closely with cross domain engineers to implement and maintain robust and highly available network devices surrounding a complex cross domain system.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize requirements based on project needs

  • Interact with team members and customers at multiple levels to gather, supply, or coordinate information

  • Provide insight into efficiencies that can be gained from current workflow

  • Work with engineers on troubleshooting and building complex, highly available network topologies

  • Perform engineering support and system administration of applications and systems

  • Provide Tier 2/3 maintenance and engineering support for deployed technologies

  • Support Assessment and Authorization activities related to cybersecurity technologies

  • Identify potential conflicts with implementation of cybersecurity tools and develop remediation recommendations

  • Provide ideas for automating repetitive tasks and metrics collection

  • Other project and corporate duties as assigned to support the customer
     

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • An active TS/SCI clearance with Poly

  • Bachelor's Degree or four (4) years of equivalent experience

  • 10 years of relevant network experience (firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers)

  • Solid understanding of Windows and Linux systems, general operating system security practices, TCP/IP networking, and network security concepts

  • Must have or be willing to obtain IAT Level II or higher certification within 6 months of hire

  • Experience deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions, including Juniper, F5, and Nutanix

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time

  • Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery

  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and customers

  • Detect information on a computer screen


Desired:

  • Understanding of federal Cyber Security Guidance (e.g., NIST SP 800-37, NIST 800-137)

  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of LANs, firewalls, routers and switches

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team

  • Good communication and customer service skills

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,300
