Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Network Engineer. This position will be located at our Bellevue, NE location. Essential Functions: 

 

  • Strong/Expert support of all aspects of network management, to include but not limited to, planning, network design, scheduling, implementation, maintenance, change management, and support of a mission critical network infrastructure. 

  • Maintain, evaluate, test, and apply STIG configurations for network devices. 

  • Possess strong/expert skills in planning and maintenance for necessary software upgrades to firewalls, switches and routers. 

  • Respond to security findings and events across the infrastructure. 

  • Lead in planning and executing engineering projects across multiple teams. 

 

This position is contingent upon Award 

 

Basic Qualifications:   

 

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 8 years of experience; or 6 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree; or 4 years with a PhD 

  • Experience with 2 or more of the following: ACI, Spine Leaf, SPLUNK, Firewall, BGP/OSPF, Spanning Tree, Cisco, Multicast, Packet decoding 

  • Basic troubleshooting / hardening & upgrading experience 

  • Experience with switching, routing protocols DoD 8570 Security certification such as Sec+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent 

  • Hands on development and testing configurations, and implementation to a critical network 

  • Ability to work 100% on-site in Bellevue, NE 

  • Active Department of Defense Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance (TS/SCI) 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • Experience using MBSE & Cameo 

  • Experience with multiple network vendors and operating systems. 

  • Experience with Wide Area Networks and commensal circuit requests. 

  • Experience with ISR assets. 

  • Experience with Cisco ASAs. 

  • Experience with VMware vSwitches and port groups. 

  • Data Analysis & RF Mission processing 

Salary Range: $107,800.00 - $161,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
