As part of this exciting new journey, we are looking for two Security Engineers to be part of the security team and work with other ICT infrastructure and application teams.
Key areas of the role:
• Identifying IT threats and software vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge and experience with Essential 8 and uplifting the maturity and capability of the customers’ existing security function.
• Configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting tasks across a range of tools and applications.
• Assessing, identifying, and fixing system-related problems.
• Providing solutions to issues that arise daily on site.
• Work closely with our customer and their Security function.
Skills required to excel:
• Experience in a Security Engineer role or similar.
• Proven experience securing enterprise network and server infrastructure, including both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Expertise in network security concepts and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
• Experience with Azure cloud security practices and tools.
• Proficiency in vulnerability assessment methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of system hardening techniques and secure configuration practices.
• Familiarity with security monitoring and logging tools, including SIEM systems.
• Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and their security configurations.
• Skills in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automating security tasks and analysis
